I had a good time traveling to Phoenix and playing in the USAM preliminary round. The venue, Main Street Billiards, was accommodating and was well equipped to be able to handle the group.
I was originally anticipating participants in the region of upwards of 100, but it turns out only 20 in the Southwest region registered and 16 showed up to compete.
My performance was lackluster, despite days of preparation on the equipment, but I still had a good time and met some new people in the area, and look forward to competing again next year.
