About Me

I’ve been in the tech industry since 1996. I was a classically trained cellist in my youth.

I was a venue and live electronic music DJ for a period of years around the New Mexico area.

I was a support professional and tech lead for ISPs and startups from 1998-2004. I joined the Santa Fe Institute staff as Systems Administrator in 2004, and was promoted to Technology Director in 2006. I’ve called SFI my professional home since then.

I live a rural lifestyle with a focus on connection with elements, nature, and self-reliance.

I survived a nearly fatal medical condition in 2025 which changed a lot of my views of life.

I’m an avid pool player - and I’m always looking for ways to increase my knowledge, skills, and gameplay. I’m looking to expand into cue repair and (hopefully) custom cue design in the next year.
